dual A#

I was told in my citizenship interview that I have dual A#. Does anyone know what that means? My path to citizenship interview was f1>H1>5yrs as GC holder

Did you ever had any other A#? like after your F1, one year of OPT? you may had a number at that time. It may be that.

EAD card (OPT before you got H1, during the 485 wait) have an A#. May be they didn't use the same A# when they issued you the GC.

gg11 and feuerfrei - thanks for the help. yes, i did get a yr of PT before my H1-B app. is there anyway to verify that such is the case w/out having to wait for INS officer to get back. She did say that I'd be notified w/in 10-12wks once both A#s have been consolidated.

I had a similar experience. Serach for duplicate A-file and you will find it. It's nothing major, but frustrating to wait for another hurdle to clear. Keep following up, either in person, by a letter to your officer. Escalate it to your Congressman/Senator if it doesn't get resolved soon.
