My wife is sponsoring her mother. We're U.S.A. citizen and living in U.S.A., and her mother is in Philippines.

My wife received DS-230 form yesterday. Should this form receive and fill-out by her mother in the Philippines? Why is she received it? Are there any other forms that her mother should receive? What exactly is the order of DS-230 process?

Thank you very much for your help.

part 1 or part 2???

is it part 1 or part 2..i think basically ds 230 is biographic info ..like wher did ulive last so n so years education name ,,,aliasas...so n so

My wife received part I & II of DS-230 in the U.S., and she is sponsoring her mother. My question is- should DS-230 receive by the partitioned immigration? In this case, the partitioned immigration is my wife’s mother in Philippines.

What is the process for DS-230? Is my wife supposed to fill out a DS-230 for herself, and her mother fill out another one for herself?

Every question in DS-230 form is for her mother. It would make a lot of sense for this form to be sent to her mother in Philippines.

Thats All I Know

I Think Ds-230 Part1 Is For Intending Immigrant. And Whoever Is Immigarting Need To Fill Thta Out And Ds 230 Part 2 Is To Be Filled Only When U R In The Consulate For The Interview In Front Of The Officer Of Consulate.

Thank you very much for the head-up. It did not say anything about filling out part II of DS-230 form in front of the consular.

Should my wife forward the form to the petitionee (her mom) in Philippines?

Your wife is probably the agent for the applicant (mother in law). Applicant must have filled out your wife's name as agent on form DS 3032. As a result of that your wife must have received imm visa fee bill also. Upon paying that agent receives DS 230 on behalf of the applicant. The applicant fills out DS230. Please follow NVC's instructions. First page of parents sticky thread in this forum gives you info and useful links for Consular Processing.

I think that you are correct. Do you have the link for online form? I found the online form for DS-230, but it has yellow highlight in several line. Is it okay to use it?
