DS-230 sent to KCC with mistakes in it !!!

hi, all!

i am a DV2007 winner. My case # is AS00006xxx. I am in US on F1, so opted for AOS (is that a bad decision???). Last week I sent all the forms that I received with NL back to KCC, including DSP-122 and DS-230 I & II. I remember some guys in this forum actually suggested not to send DS-230 to KCC while doing AOS. But I sent it and now realized that I made a mistake while filling my father's date of birth!!! You guys have any ideas how big a mistake that was???? Can that be corrected later if/when I am called for interview or can I re-send the Form with the application that I got to send after Second notice, etc.? And, yes, I am claiming my parents' nativity as the country I am native of does not qualify to DV lottery.

Your suggestions will be appreciated.

First of all it is OK to send ALL forms to KCC, whether doing AOS or CP.

About the corrections:
Write a letter to KCC indicating the the parts that need correcting.
Send KCC an email with the same.
After two weeks call them to make sure your forms have been amended.

The other option is to send KCC another form with the correct info, email them to let them know about it. BUT the chances of forms not being kept together, and the wrong one being sent insted anre not small. It does happen.

We are also doing AOS and we (my wife) just sent back DSP 122 to KCC, as I called twice they said they need only DSP122 if you plan to do AOS. So my guess is, they might not use your DS 230 I and II at all. If they don't use DS 230 so you will be fine. BUT nobody knows, make sure that everything is alright, just call them and ask them about correction of your father's DOB. .
