Hi
I am planning to go to India for my CP. I am planning to get married before that and then go for my CP Interview.

I am having the following questions
1 ) in my Packet 3 form , a 21 (b) column which says that Persons who will follow you to the US at later date
Should I have to fill in my would-be wife name in that column ?

2 ) also for the following question I was not able to get a clear answer
I want to take my wife with me(after my marriage sometime earlier ) to the CP Interview.
so for that how do I inform the chennai consulate that I will be coming with my wife to the interview.
also what forms are required for her , except her educational documents and PCC.

Thanks

{Only if she wants to come to US at a later date than you. You can
write 'None' if you are planning on arriving in US together}

{Since you are not married yet, you have to respond to the Packet 3
as a single person. Once you are married, inform the consulate by
sending copies of documents like marriage certificate etc. so that they
can include your wife in the process. You need to get an email
confirmation to this effect and also the required appointment letter
with her name included. Research the forum and you will find info. on
this kind of scenario}

Thanks

I submitted my NVC Fee of $335 last friday.
Will the information be updated when I call the NVC (the 603 number)

You would have sent the fee to the St.Louis office and it will take anything
like 12 to 15 days for the check/MO to be encashed and the information
passed on to the Portsmouth, NH office of NVC.

How long does it take to P3 forms from teh NVC after we sent the money
I am also in the same situation.
they say few weeks, but I would judge it about less then 3 weeks.

I sent an email regarding adding spouses name while in India attending the interview.
What they told me was, if get married, just let us know, we will process your spouses name also.
So, as long as you don't enter US, even if you get married after (primary applicant) the interview, call the consulate and let them know. They will ask to send DS230 for the spouse. Spouse will get an interview with in 60 days.

Question that I have in this situation is: What about I-134 (affidavit of support in this case). Since you are in India how can you get one? or they don't need it or you will have to come back and send it to your spouse so that the spose can take it and present it during the interview.

If your spouse's interview is after you come back, then just send it by fedex. You''ll be set.

If I am going to have my interview with my spouse (after getting married in India and submitting the DS-230 form ) should i have to take the I134 form also .
How should I handle this
