I was getting ready to file DS-230 for my parents after submitting $400/person fee and then i ran into INS website which details what all needs to be submitted. (I have removed items not relevant)
Birth Certificate
Marriage Certificate
Petitioner Documents
Photocopy of Valid Passport Biographic Data Page
Police Certificate(s)
My questions are
i) do i really have to submit all of this? I just sent many of these docs few months back for I-130 or some other processing.
ii) the INS explanation for Police Certificate requirement for india is confusing... I need to know whether Police Certificate from Passport Office will suffice or not. Parents passports are more than 6 months old. Can anyone tell?
iii) What is 'Petitioner Documents'? The website link does not go anywhere.
