Hi,

Each of my parents need to file a DS-230. For question 21a "Person(s) named in 14 and 19 who will accompany you to the United States now.", should they write down each other's name? They'll come to the US together.

Thanks,
h

Well, I believe this question sounds like it's asking for derivative applicants, where there's one principal applicant accompanied by spouse and children who are eligible to join as derivative beneficiaries. Since yours is an immediate relative petition, I suppose, they would both be considered principal applicants. So, it may not be necessary to indicate this there, however, does it hurt to put each other's names? I would think not ... but I don't have much experience with IV forms.

austriacus,

You understand my question exactly right, thank you for re-iterate my question!

Yes both my parents are principle applicants. I also think it's harmless for them to indicate spouse's name in field 21, but not 100% sure.

Thanks,
h
