I am sponsoring my parents for GC with 2 SEPARATE APPLICATIONS (2 separate I-130s), I believe that is the requirement. Its consular processing. I am at a stage where NVC has requested DS-230 + docs. The case is simple (as yet).
Per NVCs website following documents are required in ORIGINAL (or certified copies) for each applicant
* Birth Certificate
* Marriage Certificate
* Petitioner Documents <---- ?
* Photocopy of Valid Passport Biographic Data Page
* Police Certificate(s)
MY QUESTIONs
1) Are these 2 cases going to remain separate, or there is a way to create dependency between the two so that I could just submit one copy of original docs for both cases (especially parents marriage certificate + petitioner docs)?
2) My parents marriage was registered recently, so i understand that I need to send affidavits too. Do I need to send 2 affidavits for my father case and 2 for mother?
3) I am confused with petitioner documents? Per NVCs website I also need to submit MY birth and marriage certificate (why my marriage certificate?). I have only one copy of each, how can I submit a separate one for each case?
NVC's website: PETITIONER DOCS: Applicants in the following visa categories are required to provide 1) an original or certified copy of their Petitioner’s birth certificate and 2) original or certified copy of their Petitioner’s marriage certificate from the Petitioner’s current and all previous marriages.
* Parent of a U.S. Citizen who is at least 21 years old (IR-5)
* Brothers and sisters of United States citizens (F4)
