Dropping the semester. What would happen?

Hello

I am a current student at the university of Houston with only one semester to graduate. I am planning to drop the semester for this spring of 2010 because my VISA is delayed in the US embassy and I am already 2 weeks late for school. Therefore, I am asking what would happen if I drop the semester and go back to study for summer 2010?

Can I join Kaplan for test prep until the beginning of the summer school? If yes, how does that works?

Looking forward to find an answer as soon as possible please. I need to take a quick decision.

If you are dropping a whole semester, you sure will have to stay outside of US until you get valid visa unless you are dropping summer semester. I'm not sure why your visa got delayed, so I don't know if you can register for Kaplan either (I assume you want to still stay in U.S.). Even so, you have to take class at the same school as it appears on your I-20 .
