Drop box rules for physically handicapped

Does anyone know what the new visitor's visa drop box rules are for a person who is physically handicapped? Chennai airport/consulate to my knowledge are not PH accessible so would they accept an application through the drop box, for my father who is 59 years old and handicapped?

They will most certainly accept drop box from handicapped applicants if you can include documentation detailing the handicap signed preferably by a doctor.
