Drop Box Qualifications..

Urgent!.. My parents applying for B2 visitor visa. Dad is 60 years and 4 months old and mum is 52 years. Can my dad and mum qualify for Drop box facility or not? If my Dad qualify can we send both applications as drop box ones. Reply please Thanks.

They need to go to an Interview

My parents are in the same boat. My dad is 69 and Mom is 59. My FIL went personally to TTS office at Chennai and got the details. Atleast mom does not qualify for drop box. So it is better for both of them to go for an Interview. Since we will be sending only 1 set of papers for both of them.

My dropbox case

My case is about 2 yrs old from Mumbai. My dad is over 60 and mom is less than 60 but we used dropbox for both of them in march 2002. Rules are diff for Mumbai and Chennai. If your dad is primary applicant and mentions spouse is accompanying him then i think they both can use drop box in Bombay.

Rules have changed in the south zone - since nov 03 i- if one is < 60 years old among husband / wife, then they need to attend the interview in chennai consulate
