In Newyork, after receiving green card, I got a driving ticket once...broke a red light on an intersection.

I went to court plead guilty and paid $100. There was no points since it was first offence.

Now I dont have any more information about this.
I dont even know the date this occurred.
2 questions:
1. Do I have to mention this in my N400 application?
2. What supporting documents should I carry related to this driving ticket?

1. Yes
2. deposition paper of your case -- such as proof of payment
you do not remember the date, but do you remember which court did you go to? do you remember which you received the citation from?

check with the local court / police station of where the citation was for.

Yes I know which court it was and the local police station near the court.

Apart from mentioning it in the N400, do I have to submit a copy of $100 payment or anything else?

You do not have to, but it would be nice if you can include a copy of the disposition. Call the clerk of the court, you shoudl get a copy of the record for a few dolars. The check is not very useful beacuse it doesn't prove that it was a full payment or the nature of the offense.

You don't have to submit any supporting paperwork (e.g. copy of ticket, receipt for a paid fine, court disposition etc) with your N400 application - but you do have to mention the ticket.

You may be asked to provide supporting documentation at your citizenship interview. Some immigration officers won't bother to ask - but some might. I would advise you to get all the paperwork in order and bring it to your interview. You don't want to risk having your approval delayed.

I was in the same position and I brought a copy of the my case decision and a receipt of payment (for the fine) with me to my interview. My immigration officer took them from me and placed them in my file. She thought that I might also need a disposition from the court but, after she went off to check on that with someone else, she said that what I had provided was enough. I also brought a recent copy of my driving record just in case it was needed.

Always be prepared to provide more than you think they'll need to reduce the chances of your application being delayed. You'll kick yourself if you leave the interview having been told to go get something else that you could have obtained beforehand.
