I just can't believe that the CIS has reduced its applicants to this. It is almost like going to a 5-star restaurant, a job interview or the first day at a new client that one is forced to think about dress code when getting a simple thing like the passport stamped. It would be something if they may refuse to stamp the passport because someone wasn't wearing a tie.
But hey - it takes 3-5 years to get where you got - so it is nothing short of a party for people like you and me - Happy dressing up!
You are correct after the painful wait, I thought it was worth asking this question. Who knows what they have in their minds and its better never to give any chance even if its not the first visit to the client site. I read somewhere a long time back "Never smoke in front of the customers" I don't know how much of that is applicable here, but the idea is to keep up the presentation.
BTW, I did not wear any tie or business attire just casual attire.
A full formal business attire is a must.
I just went in my formal business attire as required by my employer ( Jeans and Sneaker and a heavy nicotine breath ).
All I can say this is not at all a bad presentation but then Nicotine is definitly NOT a good option, anyways.
BTW, you may want to double check the employer who has a formal business attire of Jeans & Sneaker and allows wearing of heavy nicotine breath.
