I have a doubt on filling DS-156 form. My parents are planning to visit US so,
1. Do they have to fill out two seperate DS-156, one for dad and one for mom? Or one DS-156 is enough for both. Because there is a question already in DS-156, which is question no 34 -Names and Relationships of Persons Traveling With You
so any way dad will be mentioning moms name there...but on the below of the page there is button called "Duplicate for family" - so I am not sure if both mom and dad has to fill out DS-156 form.
2. If both has to fill out then in dad's question no 34 he has to write moms details and in mom question no 34 she has to write about dads details..is it so?
3. And question no 37 -Are Any of The Following Persons in The U.S., or Do They Have U.S. Legal Permanent Residence or U.S. Citizenship?
Mark YES or NO and indicate that person's status in the U.S. (i.e., U.S. legal permanent resident, U.S. citizen, visiting, studying, working, etc.).
Since I am on L1-Visa - My legal permanent residence status is 'NO' I believe is it?
4. Also, at Consulate if my dad and mom are going together..then there will be seperate interview or they can attend the interview together? because my mom is not comfortable with english..so hope my dad can answer on behalf of her.. Please reply..
