Can anyone tell me if it\'s necessary for a child (12 yr. old) to go to local INS office for his passport stamping? Can parents represent him? My local INS office is Nework. If he must go, can we choose on Saturday? We just try to avoid missing school day. Thanks in advance.

No Title

To the best of my knowledge, all applicants i.e. the beneficiaries and the prime applicant have to go for Pastport stampping. Because, you have to give your finger prints at that time for the actual plastic card. I don\'t think any of the INS offices are open on Saturdays (other than application suport centers for FP etc). You may want to call local INS office to confirm this.

Just my $0.02 worth.

Goodluck.
