I am currently studying in U.S on F-1 visa, however, I was subjected to 2 year clause on my J1 visa when I came to U.S. for 10 weeks. Currently, I am in the process of obtaining the J1 waiver on the basis of No Objection from Govt. of India.
I have obtained the NOCs from three indian agencies and went to Indian consulate in Houston and received the waiver letter in person on the same day. Meanwhile, I had also sent the filled DS-3035 (along with my DS 2019, passport page and fees) to DOS. FEDEX shows that it was delivered and signed on 19th September (morning) whereas DOS website doesn't show any thing when I enter my case number online to check the status.
It has been one week now and still nothing on the status. I am very worried and anxious. Is it normal for such time delay? How long does it take to show the case online? And also, how long does it take for Indian Embassy in Washington to send the NOS to U.S. DOS?
