DORA application for parents

I wish to apply for my parents through the DORA program however there are no appointment dates available. Is it ok to send the application through normal processing and then also through DORA if a date becomes available? Also, once you make an appointment through DORA - I am assuming parents can stay beyond date on I94.

Not sure about your first question --- keep trying on the hour, appointments are cancelled and you should get an appointment eventually. Don't know if you can double file.

The only time the clock stops for overstay on the I94 is when the I485 is received, which would be the day of your DORA appointment. The electronic appointment notice does not stop the clock.
E.g. let's say the I94 expires May 1. You get an appointment online April 25 for May 11. When the papers are turned in on May 11, your parents will have incurred 10 days of overstay. Can they do this? Most likely - I sincerely doubt they will be hunted down for a 10 day overstay and they should have no problems with adjusting status. Just wanted to point out "when the clock stops".

You dont mention what they arrived as --- there may be complications to adjust status with some status, but generally should be OK.
