I saw a note here asking someone to drop off letters at Infopass:

Dont do that. The reason is this: Today my IO (during the interview) said dont drop off things at Infopass (regarding my wife's info).

He said: ALWAYS, ALWAYS send it by MAIL with proof. He said the guy at infopass may accidentally miss something and there is no "VALIDATED" proof you submitted it even if he gives some "receipt".

MAIL and keep proof - this is what he suggested is best. He said he has been IO for many years, and this is the advice he can give to people who ask him.

To summarize the above: "For USCIS, paper trail esp. mail trail is the ultimate proof"

electronic or phone or 'inperson infopass' receipts - they are not as good as mail trail.
