Okay, thanks to suddenly found euphoria of filing I-485, I am drawn into a situation where I need the right advice from you, old timers here.
I have already filed for I-140 in Nebraska Servicing Center and it is pending for last 6 months. I am in EB2 category with priority date in June 2006.
Last year, I got married and wife still working on her degree and she is in her final year. In order to file for I-485, she needs to be here ASAP but the earliest date she can apply for is, 31st July.
So I am wondering, if by any chance I will be able to see if my PD will be current in August too?
Another question is:- say I file for I-485, wife comes at a time when PD retrogressed. In this situation, we are talking about which PD? is that the PD of primary applicant? or the date when she enters into the country? If the PD is for primary applicant, that is me, can she still be able to apply even though teh current PD at that time is retrogressed? I mean , can she still be able to file I-485 since I have already applied for it?
