My avm is updated with the message \'your finger print results received
on Dec.31st,2001 and process resumed\' in Jan.2002.
Called IIO in Feb.2002 regarding FP status and the IIO given the information that FP results are OK and I have to wait for my turn for the GC for 8 months.
Called IIO on May 2,2002 and IIO informed that my I-485 is in normal working area and waiting to picked up by INS officer for processing and not yet assigned and I have to wait for 30 to 60 days as they are processing Aug.1st ND date and my ND is 8/27/2002.
In the meantime I am checking AVM daily and getting nervous and concerned as Aug. RD cases are also getting approved.
As I could resist the anxiety, I again called IIO on May 7th, 2002 at 2.30 pm after checking the AVM. The IIO informed that my case has been assigned to an officer on May 3rd and it will take 30 to 60 days to know the outcome. If some additional information required I may get a RFE. I asked why my case has been delayed as even August cases getting approval. She said my FP results they received in March 2002. Then I asked why my
AVM message is updated that they recieved my FP results on Dec. 31st,2002 but I could not get a specific answer.
Today I spoken with my friend who got GC one year back from NSC and he told don\'t give a damn what the IIO says and enquired wether did I checked my AVM and told him no.
Today while going to bed at 11.30pm I checked the AVM expecting the same old message for last 5 months.
Surprise of surprises.
My I-485 has been approved on May 17th and an approval notice has been mailed and if there is any address change contact the IIO immediatly.
So, guys don\'t rely on IIO words wholly and check your AVM regularly and follow up your case reqularly.
On May 2nd conversation with IIO I asked wether it will have any impact on my case if call the IIO regularly. She said \'NO\'. This is the only word I take as correct information so far I have recieved from IIO.
So guys persue your case reqularly with IIO.
