Doing business in India while on H1

Hi,
I have read thru all the posts. What I came to know is that I can be start a business as a passive investor while on H1. I wanted to know if the same rule is applicable if I intend to do the business in India and what legalities are there in doing so. Thanks in Advance.

What about a person on H4 wants to work for an Indian company by telecommuting? The job doesn't require the presence in the US and for all
practical purposes it's an Indian job. Just because the person happens to be
living in the US along with the spouse, she just want to continue with her
job in India.
