Does your lawyer call VSC?

I am just curious. We all are calling IIOs and they treat us mostly as annoying flies that are worth to be given any meaningless response just to get us of their back. We are afraid to be too demanding, afraid to annoy them, because presumably they are capable of hurting our case.
But our lawyers would not care about all those little issues.
The lawyer that handles immigration issues for our company calls VSC from time to time about cases he thinks are taking too long, and I was told that my case will be on his list for the next call ( well, no response for 6 weeks after receiving RFE reply is not something really outrageous, as I would imagine, but anyways..)

I am just wondering, do lawyers have some special line? I just can\'t believe that any normal lawyer would spend an hour dialing VSC and then another hour waiting for IIO. And surely they are being treated better than us, because his previous calls seemed to help to speed up those related cases.

I don\'t think so...

I was told by the paralegal that\'s sort of handling my papers (my lawyer is too important for that), that on another case she was put on hold for 2 hours while the IIO\'s were looking for some files. It\'s the same line, I guess.
Some IIO\'s treat us badly because we are trying to immigrate and God knows what they think of us in private- I would not want to read their minds. The lawyers, on the other hand, are better viewed due to their professional standing and their U.S. citizenship.
In a way, same thing applies at the doctor\'s office: if you tell them you\'re yourself a doctor, they\'ll treat you better.
