Maybe but mostly No. All it means is that they received your RFE and are processing your application.

What was the RFE about? Are you a 2002 filer?

Nope - this is the standard message after USCIS receives your RFE response.

This msg nas nothing to do with pre-adjudication (btw, there is no specific message on the USCIS site that would clearly identify a pre-adjudicated case)
It is something internal that we can't "see"

May I know what your RFE is regarding?

I have received RFE last week on some paperworks, such as W2, paystubs, I-20, I-797, etc. Will send a reply this week.

When did you reply your RFE? And, if I may know, what your RFE is regarding?

Thanks for your reply.

Is this your first RFE

gcnightmares,

Is this your first RFE? I remember, last year (starting March 2006 up to August 2006) NSC sent quite a few RFEs to applicants that were pending since 2003-2004. Have you got RFE at that time?
If yes, then you were supposed to be preadjaducated after they got your responce.
I got the same message that you have now after they got my responce to RFE in July 2006.

You are right

waiting_aos,
You are right it was exactly the same time frame as you mentioned(RFE)
And the case is from 2004

Can you clarify this pls?

waiting_aos,

My LC is also from 2004 and I just received RFE on 5/22/07.

Can you and waitingaos clarify what you guys talk about pls?

I had got RFE in may'06. after my attorney has replied to the RFE, the online message has chaged to:

On June 3, 2006, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time
will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done.
Follow the the link below for current processing dates.

Now I am confused as usual with the status updates

Which sounds more like a preadjudicated case it is your call to decide.
Both the cases were replies to an RFE and I dont understand two types of statuses.
I think it is a good think to research.

Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed.

These are old message and new message

We had the same message that you mentioned "On June 3, 2006, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time
will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done.

.
But then the message chaged without a change in LUD. It happened few months ago when USCIS impemented a new system. Now we have the same message that you have with LUD in Aug 2006. Our dates will be current 6/1/2007.

I still did not understand if you got second RFE recently, or if you are describing the message for the same RFE you got in 2006.

My understanding was that all retrogressed people that got RFEs in 2006 from NCS were preadjudicated. If you got second RFE now, may be this is not correct.

Joelly,

To answer your question, NCS was preadjudicating retrogressed cases that were pending since the beginnig of 2006. They sent RFEs to a large number of AOS applicants. The purpose of preadjudication was to review the cases and process it so that when visa # is available, it will be approved without delays.

I got RFE this year only once on 5/22/2007. We are still working on it. Its the usual paperworks, such as: W2, 2007 paystub, I-20, etc
