Does the sponsoring spouse needs to be at interview?

Hi to all,

It might sound obvious. I just wanted to know if the US sponsoring spouse for a gc needs to attend the final interview? Answers would be much appreciated.

Interview letter says " It is must", when the GC application is based on marriage to USC/LPR.

For the AOS interview... YES, unless you have a very very convincing reason for your USC spouse not present at the interview. Most of the times, the officer would postpone your interview to a later convenient date when both can attend.

For the I-751 interview, Joint filing is waived under certain situations and you could attend the interview alone. You can find this information on the USCIS website.
