Does the processing date move forward every 2 weeks?

USCIS gave the processing date for EB3 category applications as March 22, 2003 when it last updated on the 6th Feb 2004.

Can we expect the processing date would forward at least 2 weeks when they update it on the 22nd Feb. Did it happen that way in the past?

My Receipt Date is April 8th and I do not see many approvals after the March 22nd dates.

Can any body throw some light on this?

There is no consistent movement of cases in the USCIS! Especially with I-140s and 485s, the processing dates have been moving forward a little only now, after nearly a year of remaining stagnant. let's hope the current trend continues and they increase the pace of processing... until then, let's all keep fingers crossed!

I have come up with a weird calculation to estimate the date my case could be reached. My receipt date is april 8th 2003. I will wait and see if i was wrong or right.

1. Approximate number of Approvals each month in EB3 category in Vermont Center--200
2. Approximate number of I140 Petitions filed each day in EB3 category—50
3. Approximate number of petitions approved quickly and not part of the regular queue—25
4. Approximate number of petitions pending daily and part of the regular queue—50-25 = 25
5. Approximate number of working days in a month—21 days
6. Approximate total number of petitions pending each month—25*21= 525
7. From March 22nd there are 12 working days until April 8th—12*25=300 pending petitions before my case
8. Each day approximately 10 EB3 petitions are approved
9. It takes 30 working days to reach my case from March 22nd—300/10=30 days
10. The approximate date to reach my case is 30 working days from Feb 6th 2004—i.e. March 19th 2004.

Please correct me if possible.
 
Hey, that is a nice way to calculate. It seems like 1+1 = 2, but INS works in a different way. What about all the petitions pending that has been filed before March 22 ? That should throw your calculation off. I know its been a night mare to see the dates move in such a dreadful pace, but hey PANTHERS did not win the SUPER BOWL.
 
The INS processing dates are bidirectional.
They use the Randomise function multiplied by a variable factor.
In other words after moving forwards for a few months they sometimes change direction and start moving backwords.
Expect anything to happen.
Hope all cases get approved quickly.

I was nearly correct

I want to share with all of you just for Fun,

You people have such sense of humor that after a long day for waiting the case approved and obviously in tension and depression as well, its nice to see posts which makes us smile .
