Does the online case status change on the same day that RFE is issued?

Usually an email from USCIS always coincides with a LUD change. Sometimes this does not happen. When an RFE was issued on my wifes 485, the LUD changed for a couple of days then we received an email stating that some more information is required and finally the LUD message changed to what the email stated on the same day.

Hope this answers your question. What is important is to make sure your lawyer gets the RFE and that the lawyer responds to it in a timely manner.

In my case, I got an RFE mail today (July 5) and there is a Change in Online message also.

LUD changed 2 days and then stopped on the 3rd day.

No change in online status. No email.

Anyone has a guess? Am I expecting a RFE or an approval?

You mean you received an RFE letter (postal mail) or RFE email when the online message changes?

I got an RFE e-mail on the date LUD (and message as well) changed. Lawyer got postal mail 3 days later.
