Does the "notice date" on the USCIS website mean anything?

According to this page https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/ptimes.jsp, for the city of Boston, they're processing N-400 applications with receipt date of January 11, 2005. This information was last posted/updated on October 19, 2005.

But there have a been a ton of people even on this forum who have applied well after Jan 11 and have even finished their interviews and even taking their oaths. See various timelines in this thread: http://www.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?t=186796&page=1&pp=15

So, does the date on the USCIS website mean anything? Could some one please explain.

Thank you very much.

The times seem to be very loose. Can't really trust them.

Thank you, Superho.

Yes, the times seem *very* loose and seem to have no correlation whatsoever to reality of things and flies in the face of the date/timelines that people post here. Unless I'm missing something.

And also, judging by the lukewarm response to the question, I'm also guessing maybe people don't pay attention these dates on the uscis page. If that's true, maybe I won't anymore too.

Thanks again.
