AC21 EXPERTS plz help: Does the new company need to be involved?

AC 21 GURUS,
If I invoke AC 21 and join a new company. Does the new company:

1. Need to continue my GC process?

2. What will be the role of my new company in relation to my GC process?

I am asking this question since the company I join will be a small one and they dont really have a legal department.

I tried to search for answes pertaining to this but couldnt find any.

Please clarify.

As far I know, The role of new company is to provide EVL to show the job is similar. The new company should provide supporting documents such as ability to pay etc incase if USCIS requests any RFE.
 
New company does not need to prove elegibility to pay. Just show pay stubs if RFE demands and also EVL with same job description.

Then is it OK to start my own company (seek self employment)? Will there be any roadblocks in GC process?

Please advise.
 
not sure about starting your own company. However to be on the safe side, i would not do it. but its just my opinion. That will be constituted as fraud. because it will show that your intention was not for employment.
