Congratulations...indeed u r new to the forum,anyway.....

1:KCC will not notify u of the receipt of forms unless u initiate the it;email them requesting for confirmation, better yet, call them.Check ur notification letter on procedures when contacting them

2: Given ur from Asia & ur number is 8XXX,your probable interview date maybe in Oct/November & they normally send out notifications a few weeks to ur interview date.U ahve to keep checking the bulletin to see if ur number falls below the cut-off number. When you've been scheduled for an interview,KCC will email u with the mesage that u should check on https://www.dvlottery.state.gov/ESC/ for more details.

3:U should expect urs when ur number is current thus somewhere in Oct/Nov(this is assuming u sent ur docs early enough since interview date allocation are also dependent on the date of receipt of the forms).

hey guys.....can anyone help me out with this query??..i have sent my forms to kcc in which my age is 20 and i think(actually i forgot) that while applying for the dv 2013 back in october 2011 i filled my age as 21(i was running on 21 according to the sytem in my country). i asked my friend and he said my age should be actually 20 acoording to united states law(which only counts the age completed). so can you explain me about this??? does this hampers my case?? my date of birth is correct and same as in my dv 2013 application form..

I think what matters the most is your exact date of birth, from which age can be derived. You must have the same exact date of birth on all your documents, birth certificate, id card, passport, educational documents etc. I think it is not something serious. Maybe I could be wrong, wait for further replies to your post!

Hi there, just to let you know that I have my interview scheduled for October for the DV Lottery 2013 (low case number thank goodness!). I have NOT received an email yet to advise me that an email had been scheduled, I just checked online with my confirmation number etc, and the letter was uploaded on the site. I have 6 weeks notice. In the 6 weeks before the month your number will be current (according to the visa bulletin), I would advise checking daily on the website, so you have as much notice as possible. For example I knew that my interview would be scheduled in October, based on previous year's visa bulletins (and the October projected visa numbers which were released in the September 2013 visa bulletin). KCC had advised me when I called to ask them, that I should check online or call them on 15 August. I would not rely on an email from the KCC to prompt you to do so. Be proactive. Good luck!
