Does the Chicago DO require a copy of Driving Record?? Please advise

Hello all,

I saw a thread that talked about carrying a copy of your driving record to the citizenship interview. Does the Chicago DO require a copy of Driving Record?? I moved from Ohio ~20 months ago to Illinois. Do I have to take copies of my Driving Recors from both states? If yes, how do I get them?

Also, does one have to state any traffic tickets received on the N-400 application? Is there a timeline like within the last so many years???

if you want to get a copy of your driving record from OH State, you can contact OH DMV and request them to send to you. you might be able to do it online or send a mail + fee to them to do that. DMV should have more info for you.

about the traffic tickets, traffic ticket is a citiation from law enforcement officer. in n440, it clearly states you have to disclose such information. additionally, it does not have a timeline restricted. the question in N400 is..
"Have you EVER ....".

someone would say you do not need to list on your n400, and some would say the other way.

read the guideline and instruction carefully. it mentions about citiation issue very clearly.

actually, i requested all states where i lived before for the DMV records. i had to hunt down different county offices in different states for my traffic voilation records. it took me a while to get all info together to mail out.. to make calls.. finally, i got all records with me.
