Does the 2 year residency requirement apply?

Hi All.

I am really confused and would appreciate any help. Basically I want to determine whether the J-1 only has the 2 year residency requirement on it if your country/skill is on the list. I know I can apply for the waiver if so, but I dont know if I am worrying about nothing.

I am from the UK and I know I am not on the skills list but I just cant get it comfirmed anywhere what the deal is with it.

No. Even though you are not on the skill list you may be subject to the 2-year residency requirement. If you give more details, I may be able to help. I got my J1 waiver a year ago.
