Does SSN (social security number) matter during FP?

When I was doing my FP in Atlanta, I acidentally put my phone number as my SSN in the form. I just spotted that right after I finished FP and asked the lady doing my FP to correct it on the computer screen but she insisted that it does not matter so it was not even corrected.

Now I was stuck in I485 so long and I am wondering will this impact processing of my I485? Because this is the only place CIS/FBI asks our SSN.
Could it be my name check or finger print got stuck in wrong SSN?

I did receive on-line msg saying that CIS received my FP results but it did not tell if cleared or not (no this kind of status info).

BTW, I emailed FBI last October for my name check status, no reply as yet.
When will they start name check for I485? How do we know if our cases were stuck in name check/FP? If any issues, will we or our lawyers get notified? Really confused about how these things work.

Can anyone please shed some lights on those?

Thanks in advance!

I won't worry to much

shelfd,

I would not worry to much about the SS#. I think the only thing that really matters is the A#. So long as your FP matches the A# assigned by USICS you should be fine. Your 485 approval is around the corner.
