does renewing EAD trigger RFE /FP?

i recently joined the 2 plus year waiting after 485 filing group. online status remains the same - "recd 485 application on blah blah blah". no request for second FP or any RFE.

i can apply for renewing my EAD (second time) in the next 2 weeks. do u think it would help open my case and trigger further action? would be good to hear your experience.
 
I doubt it will trigger anything.
I had my 2nd EAD last year and 2nd AP approved just a week after applying in Dec 03.

But this is good time to get an EAD - u can get it in 1,2 months. It took 7 months for me.

I wish it could.

I applied for my 2nd EAD on 7/31/03, got approved on 12/07/03. But I haven't heard anything about RFE or 2nd FP thus far.
