Does person residing in USA on H4 visa considered for emergency appointment in India?

Hi,
I am currently in USA on H4 visa. I am planning to go to India for vacation with my kids in August. The current available dates for normal visa appointment is in November 2006. The available emergency dates are in June 2006. The kids school reopens in September. Does this case qualify for emergency appointment in India (Mumbai)? Please advice.

I know if principal H1B go with you, he/she can be considered for emergency appointment. But if it's just H4 I am not sure if that will work. Try calling the consulate you plan to visit and ask them. My guess would be No but who knows they might consider.

Thanks for the response. The fact that I have kids who need to come back before the school reopens in september is not a solid reason to make a case?
I sent an email to the US consulate in Mumbai but the response was for totally different than my question. I really need any help or information I can get before I book my tickets. My husband is travelling along with us but he got his H1 stamp last year from Canada. I will wait for another response from the consulate and will post that here for reference.
