Does PD matter??

Does Priority Date matter in the 485 approval? If so, how? Can someone explain.... Thanks.

My PD is May 99 and WAC-02-066

long time ago, ins was back logged big time. hence ins set pd as the date when your labor was filed. and then ins used to release visa bulletins every month. one could only file for the third stage if their pd was due. now ins is current. so one can file for their third stage with out any delay.

And once it is filed it shoudl not matter, but just like women and computers, not even the creator knows INS's inner workings.

As long as the dates stay current (for respective country) the answer is "NO".
