Does online status change upon 485 approval?

I'm glad to see a few approvals in the past few days and that raises some hopes... I'm - WAC 02-043 (amazing - i've started identifying myself with my receipt # - I guess thats what immigration can do to you )

Will I see the first signs of approval in the postal mail or will the online status change too almost immediately ???

from what i have been hearing in the forum is you get to see first on online and over the automated message.
