Does one need to change from H1 to H4 if already has EAD?

Hi guys,

Hope someone among you can answer this question. My wife is working
for a company, which will terminate her in December. I have already
applied for I-485 through my company, and she will get her EAD very soon.
In that case, does she need to apply for change of status to H4 after
December?

EAD and H visa are exclusive with each other. So, you don\'t need any H visa once you start using EAD.

what if a spouse does not use ead, but her H1 status is terminated ? Does she still need an H4 ?
