Does name check resolve itself without us doing anything?

Hi Guys,

Looks like I will be stuck in name check.(wife received IL but I did not).

I know there are numerous threads about name check and many avenues such as infopass, contacting senator etc.

I am just curious to know if name check ever resolves itself without us doing anything and just waiting for the IL. (e.g say 2/3 months)

What is the reasonable period to wait before we start pursuing other avenues?

Thanks in advance

Based on my experience for which I think there was no name chack delay, a 4-month time period between Priority Date and Interview Letter is normal (see my timeline). The IL came 4 months after the Priority Date and the Interview was one day before the 6 month mark from the Priority Date. This was before the surge of appilcations; this means that nowadays a 5-month time period between Priority Date and Interview Letter received should be considered normal. As the USCIS website states, you may even allow for an additional 30-day period to allow for the USCIS to send you the awaited letter.
