Does LUD change really imply anything

I am kind of wondering if LUD changes really does imply anything or not. I have seen a lot of forum members whoes LUD changes ( for reasons other then address change,FP etc) but they have not seen any approvals/rfe's or any change on their cases., or do we definately see anything within a time frame of a few hours to few weeks of LUD changes to see a different status on the case.
 
It only implies that someone did something to your file. Otherwise it does not indicate anything about approval. There have been people whose LUD changed so many times but there is no sign of approval and there have been lot of cases where LUD never changed until they got approved.
 
In my experience:

1) LUD changes, but nothing else changes (exact same messages)
2) I receive 2 emails for each approval
3) Email notification system seems to work, except my 140 approval notice changed first on the website. I received email a day or two after that
4) Once the case status message changed, but LUD did not. As it turned out, case status message change was incorrect (it was about period of time it takes for I-140 approval)

Given the randomness, I can't fully trust their online system. But it was very helpful in responding to my 140 RFE. I had a window of 20 days since I saw the RFE message online until acquisition of my company. I was anticipating an RFE and as soon as I saw the online message, I started preparing response and notified my attorney. As a result, we were able to respond before m&a mania took over!
 
Where do you check LUD? I don't see any date change on Online Case Status Page. Does one is required to register to see these details? Thanks in advance for the info.

Also kids I-485 LUD changed again today. Is it good sign or bad? :confused:

Yes, you need to register to see the details.
 
I noticed that Most of the members reporting approvals do see some LUD changes and in a few days to Few Weeks ( 2-3), the mesage does seem to change. IMO LUD does indicate that the file is being worked on.

In my case LUD did not have any meaning. My RD is Dec 2002. FP1 has expired. No FP2. No RFEs. LUD changed in June 2004 nothing happened. Again LUD started changing last days of Oct. So far no status changes.
For me LUD has been a false alarm. I think my file is with an officer who is suffering from arthritis or some thing who can not move his a** fast.
 
It does not mean any thing to me yet !!!

My LUD changed twice for 2 days in a row each occasion without changing the status or the body of message.
I did my FP on 09/28/2004 . Till today there is no change in the status saying they got FP.

Just hoping to finish it off. :(

I have received FP2 notice. No status msg change yet. It had been posted before the LUD changes early this month.
