Does LUD change after enquiry?

Dear fellow waitees @ NSC:

I made an enquiry to NSC a month back. I have not heard anything from them yet. The query was about processing status as the processing date (7/2005) has gone past 485 RD (4/2005). I am wondering usually how many weeks NSC takes to respond to status query. Furthermore, does LUD change when they respond? Thanks in advance.

I140/485 filed: 04/12/2005
I40 approved: 05/17/2005
FP: 05/26/2005
AP/EAD: 06/2005
EB1, Nonretro
 
I made an I-485 enquiry (Case status - outside processing time) with NSC 12/02/2005. I have received reply in mail in several days (the letter was dated Dec. 5, 2005). I-485 LUD was not change. A reason of my I-485 case delay is security checks. My PD is current (non-retro country).

Thanks for your response.
Looks like your case is pretty much alike my case, filed at same time period and same category. And that scares me -I think I am also stuck in one of those CHECKS. Actually my lawyer made the enquiry 5 weeks back. No answer yet as of yesterday. I will wait one more week and make a phone call to CIS.

I have also put enquiry and received response (which says case is actively worked upon and wait for 6 months and call after that) but there is change in LUD. Are you close to Approval?
