Does it matter ?

Once the 485, EAD and AP has been filed, and the PD is current, does the employment category (EB2/EB3) and/or the state that one works/resides matter in terms of processing time (assuming the same Service Center)?

No, it doesn\'t matter, unless the PD cut-off date is retrogressed to the date prior to your PD

thnx. that\'s what i thought but there are so many people on this forum who emphasizes on category, country, state residing, etc. to track EAD, AP and FP even though PD is current for every country for each category. so i thought may be i am missing something as i only recently have started to track this forum for only one obvious reason - to get an idea when would my 485 be Adjudicated.

EB-2 or -3 doesn\'t mean a real thing in this world

My employer forced me to use EB-3 because they said the job was targetted on bacholor-level though I own two CS masetr degrees (one from US university). I know the reason and it is very simple. Because the big and small bosses themselves don\'t have MS and also since they pay the fee they wnat to keep me longer. This is very political ...

If there was no difference between EB2 or 3, then why they are there in the first place? When PD is current, it doesn\'t make any difference, otherwise it would make a significant difference which comes out very clearly from your message. How can your employer keep you for long? by having forced your case in EB3 so that it would simply drag on (barring PD is current) and you can\'t leave him, right!!! This implies processing time for EB3 > 2. Currently irrelavant as PD=current.
