Does it help to hire an attorney?

We live in an area where the processing time mentioned is close to 2 years - luck of the draw, I guess :) Anyway, I was wondering if it helps to expedite the process when you hire an attorney to take care of the application prosess. Or is it just a waste of time and money? Any opinions?

Thanks

If its a straight forward case you probably dont need an attorney and would possibly be wasting money. Its definitely not a waste of time when you hire an attorney, if fact you will save time as you do not have to do the dirt work :)
