If 140 filed in Nov / Dec 2003 and still pending, and FP notice received for Oct 2004, does it help at all to do FP sooner than Oct 2004?

Anyone? Does it help to do FP sooner than the FP date if 140 is still pending?
I am not sure if they are yet into approving Nov/Dec 2003 cases. It would have helped if they were actually doing that but postings from other members does not suggest this. The latest they have approved a case is from August 2003. But what the heck, if you can do the FP early, might as well be done with it. They need your FP results to do adjudication, so if you think doing it early will help, go ahead.

Hmm .. I was not talking of 140. Fingerprint is not required for 140 to get approved. This is a requirement for 485 only. Currently date for 485 is September 2002. Also the April 2004 date only applies to EB3 category. What is your category for 140. If it is EB2 (like me), then the date is November 20, 2003.hrithikroshan11 said:dazzling

but if the immigration officer agrees ity doen't harm to complete the FP early.

FP scheduled for Oct end, not sure whether to get it done sooner since EB3 140 filed in 2003 is still pending.

I got FP notice in last week of Feb 2004 & I-140 was approved right after that i.e. March 2004.
There might not be any link but at least someone looked into the petition and that's a good sign. I think you will get some news regarding your pending I-140 very soon. Good Luck.
