Does it always take so much time to do biometric and the following waiting?

I submitted my documents on 3/4 and my biometric date is 3/28
Does it normally to take so much time to do that?
How about the following waiting time for GC?
Totally have no idea,Could someone drop me a line about that?
By the way, I am in LA.

YES!!!!!!!! You're actually very lucky you got an appointment in the same month you filed.

And the waiting time for the green card could take years - depending on the particulars of your case.
 
Babycrane, you should be VERY happy and lots of people will tell you that ! You did not read the threads over here, I can see that !That's the first time I heard somebody got an FP appointment the same month the AOS is filed. You are very lucky, so don't ask yourself those kind of questions and just enjoy the fast process ;) because maybe it'll slow down at one point :confused: !
