Does interview schedule mean your FBI check is completed?

At my interview, I passed but the guy said I would have to wait until "background check is complete" before I got my oath letter, for what it's worth. FYI my background check should have been pretty simple.

Apparently not always (see JerryR), but generally, an interview means that the name check has cleared. Once you are interviewed, USCIS is supposed to respond within 120 days either with approval and oath date or a rejection.

How could some offices (Atlanta for example) do same day oath.

Most of the time, name check is done and over with. Otherwise they don't schedule interviews.-
