Does INS process filed I485 case whose PD are post backlog date?

I have question for my Chinese friend, whose PD is after the I485 backlog date, he filed his 485 two years ago. Will INS process his case before the backlog date moves to his PD?

Your friends case will be processed only after his PD has crossed the official cutoff PD posted by USCIS. Your friend should check his PD and then lookat the latest visa bulletin released by DOS. He will get a better idea of what to expect once he has done all these things.
