Does INS deny AOS...

I want to know from the Gurus on this site:

(1)Does INS deny AOS petitions when the petitioner has no criminal record either here in the US or outside of it and the petitioner had never been out of status?

(2)Does anybody know of any recent denials, if yes, can you please post all the known details of such cases?

My case has been totally screwed up by my lawyer. It is still not adjudicated by INS 80 days after receiving response to RFEs.
Is submitting a sloppy AOS application enough cause for denial of a petition?
Thanks for all responses.

yeh ..but only if u fail to satisfy them ...like ur job or ur employer able to pay ur wages etc. Screw you lawer if he has done something wrong and calll up iio and find out weather they had received the response of rfe.

Talked with IIOs many times they are totally helpless as to why my case is still pending. Yes thet did receive our response on 11th June. There is no problems with my compayny- Oracle- being one of the biggest companies in the world.

If your case is pending beyond a month after the current JIT date, I suggest you to do the following:

1. Tell your "incompetent' lawyer to send faxes to INS.
2. Send letters / faxes to your senator and congress man / woman (typically they respond within a months time).

Good luck.

We did both.

We sent two faxes to the INS which had responded saying my case was "pending" without any more information as to why it is pending. Because we got the response from INS [never mind its useless] my attorney says he can not go to the next level.

We had also contacted a CA senator whose office got in touch with INS. The INS had promissed to the senator's office that they willl decide the case within 30 days...this was on 8/15.

This is 24/7 pain and anxiety for me. What worries me most is the fact that INS is taking no more than 3 weeks from rfe response date to adjudicate where as in mine its nearly three months and INS is patiently sitting on the case. Nobody is able to tell me why?

If they had to deny the case they would have done that long back (they love to deny). Be patient and wait for the senator's reply.
