Does H1-b remain valid after I-485 is approved?

My H-1b visa expires in May 2009. My EB3 PD (09/2002) will become current in June (according to latest visa bulletin). I am going to submit/add my wife's I-485 application in June. Her h4 visa is valid till May 2009.

Will she be out of status if my I-485 is approved before her I-485 application is submitted/processed/added?

Once you file 485 application for your wife she won't be having any problem even if your case approved. It is very rare that the moment your date become current you will get the approval. It will take some time. Prepare yourself to file 485 for your wife on June 2, 2007.
