Does getting SSN using EAD change H4 status?

My wife used EAD to get SSN in order to apply for a driver's permit. Does this result in change of status? :confused:

Please check with lawer. I firmy beleive that you would still be in H4 status. Is this a bog deal for ur wife?? Do u want to keep her H4 for some reason??

I would ask lawer to make it sure.
