Does Every one Getting Biometrics appointment these Days for EB3 Fillers

Hi All
I am from EB3, concurrent Filler,I am from retreggision country INDIA...

I have given first Finger Printing in MAY 2004.. Again we got a Letter for Biometrics scheduled for August 1 2005. Exactly after 14 Months...

I am wondering is is good Sign, or bad. or they are sending for Every one.... I have checked my case status for the Last updated date for 485, does not changed any thing, still shows the same old date only..

My PD is July-02 & also from retroges country My FP also done in May-04 I didn't received any biometric but my message changed yesterday after enquiry from USCIS on 07/14/05.

"On July 18, 2005, we responded to your request for more information concerning your case. If you have not received our response within 30 days from this date, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."


what is this an RFe or reply to my status information ??

This is, of course, not an RFE. I'll highlight this from the message
we responded to your request for more information...

Its a reply to a query you initiated (which would typically be a "canned" letter giving one of the many excuses)

ASC ==> Application Support Center
Its the place where you do FPs

This is the standard letter for biometrics these days - nothing different.

BTW, you got a Code "2" biometrics right ? (Code is on a box right on top of the letter)

Received FP notice today for my son. Waiting FP2 Notice for me and wife

1st FP - May 04
PD - July 02
ND - Nov 03
EB3- India

what is biometrics and what does it signify is it that your case is close to approval or what?. I had just FP notice for me and my wife back in Nov 2004 after that nothing has happened do i need to do anything. Filed oct 2004 EB3
 
Shekhar i also got the Biometrics on Aug 2 2005. Mine PD is Nov 2002 . Did 1st FP on June 17th 2004. I am from retrogressed country ( India).

what do you think, any good sign, not even bother, any hopes when we will get GC...

Code 2 is for biometrics only (index FP and photo)
Code 1 is the regular 10 finger FP
and Code 3 is both.

Most biometric notices going out are Code 2 if your current prints are still "valid" - else its code 3.
Nothing to worry about.

I see another poster with Nov 2002 PD that got the biometric notice -- maybe they're hoping to clear some cases come Oct 1st ??
Lets see what other PDs are reporting biometric notices now ...

Is biometric part of a new rule ... which they have to do for everyone ?

i too had my code 2 (biometrics) done sometime in may'05.
early this year got a vague reply from FBI regarding namecheck which i believe has not cleared yet. am in EB3(India) with PD 1999
but my 485 RD is NOV04 :)

just out of curiosity took an appointment with USCIS and did not get any information at all from them. just a general reply that everything is good and wait for few more years etc.. asked specifically about code 2 notice and name check, did not get news on that. repeatly he told me that you were
in processing line and have to wait for some more time and they process 100's of thousand of cases,blah....


when i went for code 2 with local ASC, i again asked the local director about this code 2 FP since i had done my FP only few months back. he told me that it's for GC and gave me an impression that it is on its way .

I received biometrics code 3 notice. Scheduled for next month. No FP was done before.

EB3 PD:04/2003
I-140/485 ND: 06/2004
I-140 AD: 06/2005.
 
Got FP notice for me and my spouse for Biometrics code 2 for July 29.

Details:
PD - 10/2002
I140/485 - August 2004.
I140 Approved - April 21, 2005
I485 : :confused:
 
Got 2nd FP Notice Code 2

Received Biometric Notice for Aug 2nd at Newark ASC.

Does any one know if you need to arrive in advance or Just at the appointment time?

Received Code 2 Biometrics

I did initial FP in May 2004. I recieved Code 2 request for Aug 2005. It is ridiculous because by the time it is Oct 2005, my FPs will expire and so they will send another FP request instead of combining the two at this time. Such a waste of time. My PD is Aug 2002 (EB 3) and ND is July 2003.
