Does Chennai do AC I140

Hi Gurus,

Can any one shred some light here? My questions are?

1. Does Chennai consulate accept AC140 or not, because in IMMIHELP say they do and I read in Mumbai AC140 forum that Chennai don’t do AC140.

2. As I have opted for CP in my I140 itself and got approved, now can I apply for AC140 instead for waiting reply from NVS.

3. How and when will you know about your LIN#, MDR#.

>> Most likely they don't aceept AC-140,may in specific cases and if their workload permits they could accept.

2. As I have opted for CP in my I140 itself and got approved, now can I apply for AC140 instead for waiting reply from NVS.
>> AC-140 is for those who are waiting for their Adjustment of Status (AOS).If you have approved I-140 with CP option,then you are not eligible for this method.

3. How and when will you know about your LIN#, MDR#.
>> If your I-140 is already approved,you could call NVC (1-603-334-0700)and key-in your I-140 receipt number (WAC# or which ever the service centre)to get your NVC case #.

Out of subject - Your name remaids my close friend who like Madras name only not Chennai...Good luck to you.

By the way do you opt for AC140 in madras as your name says?
